About us

The Columbus Foodletter is published twice a week by the founders of Columbus Food Adventures, Bethia Woolf and Andy Dehus, and Erin Edwards, the former dining editor at Columbus Monthly. Our newsletter is a fresh take on the Central Ohio food scene for serious eaters and restaurant enthusiasts of all stripes.

What is The Columbus Foodletter all about?

We recommend the best places to eat around town, whether you’re looking for a comforting bowl of pho or a decadent seafood tower.

We sift through the noise to highlight the often less-heralded people and local businesses that really make the Columbus food scene worth exploring.

We shine a light on international cuisines and immigrant-owned kitchens that make Columbus unique.

We talk to restaurant owners, chefs, cooks, bartenders, bakers and entrepreneurs who contribute to our diverse and proudly Midwestern food landscape.

We offer well-informed first impressions of new restaurants and what (or what not) to order.

We write about food and dining trends we’re seeing from an insider view, and sometimes we opine about those trends.

We showcase the best local farmers markets and international groceries, with tips on where home cooks can source lesser known ingredients.

We help you track the latest restaurant/bar comings and goings–always a great topic of conversation with your coworkers and friends.
