Not-to-Miss Weekly Specials at Columbus Restaurants

By Bethia Woolf

In Columbus, some of the best dishes aren’t sitting on the regular menu—they pop up like clockwork on a certain day, vanish after a few hours or show up for a weekend-only ritual. This is appointment eating: Meals that you can plan your week around, the ones that make you set a reminder because if you snooze, you lose.

Here’s your roadmap to seven days of limited-time Columbus eats worth chasing.

MONDAY

All-Day Oyster Happy Hour at COLO Market & Oyster Bar (inside North Market)

Slurp away your Monday blues with COLO’s all-day oyster happy hour. One of our favorite places for oysters in the city, COLO’s bivalves are fresh, briny and surprisingly affordable. This is one of the best weekday secrets in the North Market.

Burger Night at Arch City Tavern

This popular tavern in the Short North offers its $10 burger special every Monday, all day long. Skip cooking and grab one of Arch City’s three house burgers.

Pong Mei Night at Don Pocha

If you’re in the mood for Columbus food nostalgia, head to Don Pocha for Pong Mei Night when you can relive favorite dishes from the former Korean-Chinese restaurant Poong Mei, a sister restaurant to Don Pocha. Pair your tang soo yuk with soju and you’ve got yourself a Monday ritual.

Smoked Meatloaf at Ashbrook Distillery and Grill in Ashville

This isn’t your grandma’s meatloaf. The casual Ashville-based restaurant  slow-smokes theirs for a deeply flavorful twist on comfort food. It’s hearty, smoky and only available on Mondays.

Abby & the Black Cat Brunch at Little Cat Boba

A brunch pop-up on a Monday? Yes, please. Abby & the Black Cat makes it happen with creative breakfast and lunch dishes that make Monday a day to look forward to.

Jinjja Korean Pop-Up at Harvest Bar + Kitchen in Clintonville

Monday night is all about bold Korean flavors at this regular pop up from chef John Franke, formerly of Jobu Ramen and Mashita Noodles. Jinjja’s pop-up brings traditional and modern South Korean street food vibes to Clintonville.
