Notes
Around the Columbus Food & Drink Scene
As reported by The Columbus Dispatch, the modern Indian restaurant Rooh (685 N. High St.) is mixing things up this spring. The restaurant is set to close for a refresh April 5-9. It reopen April 10 with a breakfast pop-up cafe called Mornings by Rooh (inspired by Chicago’s Swadesi Cafe), as well as a refreshed interior and a new dinner menu. You can follow Rooh on Instagram for sneak peeks of new menu items.
East Market (212 Kelton Ave.) remained closed Tuesday after part of the historic building’s roof caught fire Sunday night. It’s believed that lighting struck the roof above the market’s Railhouse Bar. According to Columbus Business First, the market’s vendors will reopen Wednesday, and the bar is expected to be up and running Thursday.
Columbus Business First reports that the shuttered Howl at the Moon space (next to North Market Downtown) will be replaced by Sugar, a new Mediterranean concept by One Hospitality, founded by Chris Corso. Across the street, the same restaurant group is also opening an Asian-inspired restaurant and bar called Spice—get it?
